Backwaters Restaurant

You can drive your boat up to their big dock and it is safe while you eat. They have indoor and outdoor seating & live music on most Fridays and Saturdays in the summer. The food is varied and delicious. I really like their thin crust pizza, grits and bar. Kid friendly! They can run around and play.

The service was super fast, and the view by the lake made everything feel extra chill. I had the nachos and pizza—both were very good and that mimosa hit just right! Perfect spot for good vibes, good food, and a cute lil day out.

We were here for a casual rehearsal dinner. We were marveling at how fast they got the food out. The atmosphere on the patio is lovely with the lake in the background. The shrimp nachos were to die for. Well done

My friend and I stopped by to hear Charlie Ray play, and let me tell you, it was a whole vibe in itself. First time I've eaten here and it was great! I had the bacon cheeseburger topped with pimento chees3, along with fries. The seating area is nice, as well as the openness of the area where musicians perform. I love to be by the lake. We'll be back for sure! The food came quickly and the workers were friendly. THANK YOU! You're doing a great job, despite what any petty comments people leave.

Casual dining, order at the counter & seat yourself, refills are self service customer accessible, plus staff checks on you at your table occasionally, but there is no true table service. Food was excellent & served surprisingly fast. Staff makes a point to be interested in you without being intrusive. Greens & beans are prepared with pork. Other green vegetables are fried or served on a salad. Will definitely visit again.

What a great evening! I wasn’t sure what to expect but they went above and beyond! The food was delicious! Good proportions of everything! Beautiful scenery! Great people!! Great service!!!

First time here. Came with a few friends who had a boat and pulled right up to the dock to eat..lol... Looks like a simple gas station from the road but what a cute restaurant. Order as soon as you walk in, sit down and they bring the food. Good thing we got there as soon as the doors opened on Friday cuz they got packed within an hour! Had grouper sandwich with fries and 2 whole fried catfish with 2 sides and 2 waters, $40ish. Food is very good and staff was so nice and really felt down home! Definitely would go back!
